To make the sourdough starter

1. Mix the sourdough ingredients in a glass bowl. Cover with a damp tea towel and secure with an elastic band. Leave for at least 12 hours to prove at room temp,
2. You will have enough starter for two loaves. Keep the remaining starter in the fridge.


To make the sourdough bread

1. Put all the ingredients into the bread pan in the order listed above.
2. Select the sour dough setting if you have it or the French setting 6 hours. Or for the Croustina use setting menu 6

1 tsp Dried Yeast
300g Strong White Flour
2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
300ml Water
1 tsp Sugar
Sourdough Bread
250g Sourdough Starter Culture
1 tsp Dried Yeast
250g Strong White Seeded Flour or flour + 3 tbsp mixed seeds
1 tsp Sugar
120ml Water
