Salmon and Prawn Crumble

This yummy Salmon and Prawn crumble is a great way of getting your Omega-3 intake, which is important for healthy skin. It’s a tasty dish and is loved by all.


Oven accessory: No accessory then wire shelf in the lower position




Place the chopped onion and the butter in a large bowl with the bay leaf. Cover and cook on HIGH MICROWAVE for 4 mins or until the onion is softened.



Stir in the flour. Gradually add the wine, stirring continuously to prevent any floury lumps. Finally stir in the milk. After, cook on HIGH MICROWAVE for 2 mins and then stir. After stirring, cook for a further 2 mins on HIGH MICROWAVE until the sauce has thickened. (Stir half way) Then set to one side.


Cooking the Salmon

Cook the salmon on the AUTO SENSOR FRESH FISH PROGRAM by placing it in a shallow container on the base of the oven. Pierce the salmon with a fork. Add 2 tbsp of cold water, cover with pierced cling film. Tap the auto sensor program key seven times then touch start.


Combining the Filling

When the salmon is cooked divide it into large chunks. Stir the salmon into the sauce with the prawns, eggs and dill. Season.


Spoon the mixture into a large ovenproof dish and scatter over the capers.


Topping (Crumble)

To make the topping Blitz the ciabatta in a food processor to make a rough crumb. Add the Parmesan, oil and parsley. The filling and the crumb can be made the day before and kept in the fridge.


Combining and Cooking

When you are ready to cook the crumble, scatter the topping over the filling. Preheat the oven on TURBO BAKE 200°C + GRILL 2 + LOW MICROWAVE. Place the dish on the wire shelf in the lower position and cook for 12-15 mins or until the top is golden and the filling is bubbling at the edges.

75g Butter
1, chopped Onion
1 Bay Leaves
50g Plain Flour
150ml Dry White wine
200ml Milk
750g Salmon Fillets
300g Large Prawns, Cooked
3 Hard Boiled and Chopped. Medium Eggs
2 tbsp Chopped Dill
2 tbsp Capers
Pinch Salt and Pepper
For the Crumble
200g Ciabatta Bread
25g Grated Parmesan Cheese
3 tbsp Olive Oil
2 tbsp Chopped Fresh Parsley
