Rye Bread with Fennel Seeds



Rye bread with Fennel seeds is a very dense wholemeal loaf. It has a low gluten content compared to other breads and using rye flour make it extra special. This breadmaker recipe is super easy to make and its consistency makes it ideal for toast, open sandwiches and toppings like cream cheese and smoked salmon. This high power bread will sustain you throughout the day because it’s a slow release carb.




Bread Maker Preparation

Place the rye blade into the machine.


Making the Bread

Put all the ingredients in the bread pan in the order listed above.


Select the RYE MENU 3 hours 30 mins.


After Baking

After baking remove the bread from the bread pan and allow to cool on a wire rack before slicing.

1tbsp Honey
25g Butter
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Fennel Seeds
370ml Water
