A Greek staple, homemade flatbread with simple tzatziki is a proper Mediterranean snack! They make perfect appetisers and are great for sharing, especially at BBQs or garden parties!

You don’t even have to stick to the tzatziki, flatbreads are delicious when stuffed with salad, meat and cheese!

The soft bread paired with the strong, garlicky dip are the perfect combination! You’ll have everyone asking for more… or for the recipe!

The flatbread is super easy to make in the breadmaker, and the tzatziki takes 2 minutes in the blender!

Steps

1
Done

Making the Flatbread

Put the dough ingredients in the pan in the order listed above.

2
Done

Making the Tzatziki

Whilst the dough is being made, make the tzatziki by placing the yoghurt into the blender, adding the mint and olive oil. Finely chop the fresh mint, grate the garlic and add to the blender. Season to taste and refrigerate.

3
Done

Back to the Flatbread

When the cycle is complete, remove the dough from the machine and place on a floured work surface. Knead for about a minute then cut the dough into around ten pieces. Roll each ball out flat, about 1cm thick, and lay them onto a plate between baking parchment paper.

4
Done

The flatbreads can be dry fried or grilled – simply heat a dry frying pan and cook the breads for about 1-2mins each side. When grilling choose the coolest place on the grill (usually at the sides) and cook the flatbreads for 1-2mins on each side. Serve with the tzatziki.
