Bengali Bhappa Doi with Strawberry Puree

This vegetarian Christmas dessert will make a show stopping end to your Christmas Dinner!

Festive seasons are all about joy and colours in a single cup and this dessert is just what you will need.

BENGALI BHAPA DOI might sound fancy, but they are incredibly easy to make in a microwave and unbelievably delicious.  This steamed sweetened yogurt comes together in just 2 minutes and you could top it up with strawberry puree, roasted nuts,berries and mint for a festive touch.




Combine Condensed milk, Greek Yogurt, cardamom and cornflour and whisk well.


Transfer the mixture carefully into 4 ramekins or heatproof jars.


Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Check at intervals of 30 seconds if its ready.


Serve them warm or chilled for 2 hours with a garnish of strawberry puree, strawberries, roasted nuts and mint leaves.


How to make strawberry puree

1 Cup of Strawberries, pruned
1 Tbsp Sugar
Microwave the strawberries and Sugar in a microwave safe bowl on High for 8-10 minutes in total. With an immersion blender, puree them smooth. Allow this easy strawberry puree to chill before serving.
