Ingredients

50g Soft Light Brown Sugar
75g Butter At room temperature
1 Medium Eggs
225g Plain Flour
2 tsp Baking powder
4 Medium Bananas Mashed
65g Roughly Chopped Walnuts 50g for the cake, 15g for the top
70g Dark Chocolate Chips

This delicious banana, chocolate and walnut cake recipe is the perfect way to use up bits and bobs from the cupboard and is a fabulous dessert to share with friends and family!

Steps

Cream the butter and sugar together until soft then beat in the egg.

Add the sieved flour, baking powder.

Add the mashed bananas, roughly chopped walnuts and chocolate chips. Mix to a soft consistency.

Remove the kneading blade from the pan and line with a loaf tin liner.

Place the mixture into the bread pan.

Select BAKE ONLY and enter 50 mins on the timer.

After baking test with a skewer to see if the cake is cooked. If it requires extra time select the BAKE ONLY mode and enter a further 3-5 mins on the timer.

Decorate the top with the remaining chopped walnuts to serve.
