1 tsp Yeast
400g Strong White Flour
1 tsp Dried Oregano
1 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Sugar
1 tbsp Olive Oil
220ml Water
10 Sun Blushed Tomatoes

Make your own bagels! Bagels are great aren’t they? There’s so much you can do with them. Salmon and cream cheese is definitely our favourite topping. Perfect for packed lunches or a light snack.

Steps

Place all the ingredients except the tomatoes into the bread pan in the order listed above

Place the tomatoes in the raisin-nut dispenser if available, and set your bread maker to the basic raisin dough program.
If you do not have a dispenser, when the machine indicates (with a bleeping sound), add the tomatoes.

When the cycle is complete, remove the dough. Punch down, cover and allow to rest for 10mins.

Divide the dough into nine equal portions. Work quickly to shape each into a smooth ball.
Make a hole in the centre and pull gently to produce a 5mm hole.

Place the bagels on a large, greased baking sheet.
Cover and allow to prove for 20mins (Start proving time after the first bagel is shaped).

Bring a large shallow pan of water to the boil and place 3-4 bagels in at a time. Cook for 1-2min on each side then transfer them to a lined baking tray.

Brush with an egg yolk wash if desired and bake in the oven for 20mins at 180˚C.
