Rhubarb, Gin & Ginger Jam



Take advantage of your breadmaker by creating some festive flavoured jams to enjoy over the Christmas season. You can create this one with or without the gin!


This is a soft set jam due to lower levels of sugar.




Place the kneading blade in the bread pan.


Place half of the rhubarb and ginger into the bread pan, and then add half of the sugar (and pectin if using). Repeat with the remaining fruit, gin and sugar (and pectin if using).


Select the jam menu and enter 1 hour 40 mins on the timer.


Put the finished jam into the sterilized containers as soon as possible, taking care not to burn yourself.


Leave to cool and store in a cool, dark place. Once opened store in the fridge and consume shortly after opening.

700 g Small-Diced Rhubarb cut into 2cm lengths
20 g crystallized stem ginger finely chopped
2 tbsp Rhubarb Gin
350 g Jam Sugar with Pectin or use 1 ¾ tsp of powdered pectin and 350 g of sugar
