Chicken Fire Crackers



When you get it right, Filo pastry is one of the most rewarding pastries to use when cooking. You can wrap your food in little flaky delights, like in this Chicken Fire Cracker recipe. Fantastic for a party spread, this recipe is bound to please all of your guests. The burst of colour in this dish will turn all hands for them. Perfect for all the family!

Oven Accessory: Enamel shelf in the lower position




Chicken Prep

Pierce the chicken, cover and cook on MEDIUM MICROWAVE for 5- 7 mins or until fully cooked. Allow to cool before cutting into small pieces.



Preheat the oven on CONVECTION 200°C + GRILL 2


Add the remaining ingredients, except the melted butter and sesame seeds to the chicken. Mix well.


Filo Pastry

Lay out a sheet of filo pastry (cover remaining pastry with a damp tea towel) on the work top. Brush with butter and lay a second sheet on top. Brush the top sheet of pastry with more melted butter and cut into eight squares.


Divide the chicken mixture between each of the 8 pieces.


Bring the corners together and scrunch pastry together to form a parcel.


Brush with more oil and sprinkle on the sesame seeds.



Bake on the enamel shelf on for 6-8 mins or until brown and crisp.

2 Chicken Breasts Skinless and Boneless
½ tsp Paprika
1 tsp Chilli Flakes
1 tbsp Ginger Paste
6 Spring Onions Chopped
1 tbs Chopped Fresh Coriander
Juice of a lime,
1 tbs Soy Sauce
4 Sheets Filo Pastry
75g Melted Butter
Sesame seeds
